A gorgous sunny, crystal-clear day, puddles frozen underfoot, a path lively with walkers, dogs, runners and cyclists sharing the narrow towpath with boatfolk going about their business moving boats and chopping wood. 

This is the route from Bath to Bathampton - we then walked back the same way so the actual distance is double.
