A short walk today allowing for an injured Bob, but some wonderful scenery and
views across the estuary to the Holms and Wales. An abandoned St Nicholas church,
Uphill Beacon, the quarry (Carboniferous Limestone), a coffee stop in the quirky
Rowen Tree cafe avoiding a squall. Alongside the pill and its menagerie of boats,
jumbled by the low water and across the marshes to the River Axe (I'd love to make a
time-lapse of the tide rising here, floating the boats). Across the sands past the
clubhouse where Bob began his sailing career and back to the car. Lunch in a pub -
Grape and Fox? in Weston which we shared with a large and noisily cheerful wake.
