The Choosing 2025 :

There is a risk that our evenings over the coming year will be contaminated by a collective moan about the US administration’s latest madness at home and abroad, and our shared dislike of the man himself. So I propose we have a planned evening focused on Trump. It will be informed by some reading of books by him and others so that we might get a better understanding of why he does what he does. There are many book sources such as Books on Trump .The most famous book is probably The Art of the Deal that I plan to read, but it would be good if people chose a range of sources from this list and elsewhere if they wish.

If Simon is willing we could also watch the film The Apprentice about Trump’s early years in real estate.

I can’t imagine any of us concluding after a bit of reflective reading that he’s not so bad after all. If you do warm to him, I suspect you wouldn’t dare admit this within the confines of NABG, because we are pretty much all the same aren’t we (and want remain so)!
