AAGH! Trump again! November is going to be confronting time- if the US election goes the way that we are being told it might then we are going to need some light relief! What better then than a very dark but IMHO hilarious novel about a future America where the Donald has not only served 2 terms and fucked up the country, but managed to ensconce House Trump permanently in the White House in the form of of his daughter. Our hero suffers a life changing event that sets him on a revenge spree to end all revenge sprees, in the course of which we get a stark commentary on current day USA. No doubt many of you may be aware of Niven's oeuvre already-profane and no holds barred. I would suggest we discuss in either November to steel ourselves or December to cheer ourselves up or maybe (fingers toes legs eyes etc. crossed) celebrate.
