Some inputs converged this morning:

• A question asked on getthedata.org was "how-can-i-visualise-statistics-from-a-linked-data-set"  
• Some survey results presented by a student using Excel charts
• A rant by Tom Morris
• A good talk by Alan Smith in November at the  South West Observatory  Data Presentation and Visualisation Masterclass
  

So I wrote a few scripts to try to use plan HTML and CSS for simple bar charts, one based on XML data, the other based on  SPARQL queries.

The project file contains the links and code.

A simple barchart like this is easy to construct, minimal download, accessable, interactive and linkable (but not so pretty)
